Banking queen bees is handy under various circumstances. Maybe you are holding virgins for instrumental insemination and you don't have an incubator or you feel having them in with actual nurse bees would be better. Banking mated queens is useful for holding until customers pick them up or you're ready to use them yourself. The EZPZ Deep Queen Banker will hold 20 EZPZ Queen Cages. 2 Bankers can fit on a frame as shown for a total of 40 cages banked. Made of sturdy PETG! (frame and cages not included)
Here's a Guide to Banking Queens
Usage: Snap a Banker into your groove type Langstroth deep frame (the kind for plastic foundation) carefully in the center of the frame where the bottom bar is most flexible. In a new frame it can slide back and forth once installed. It can be taped or waxed to keep it centered. Some beekeepers who bank queens like to keep them centered in the hive. Others prefer to fill the frame so 2 Bankers can be installed to hold 40 cages. They should be added to the frame as it is assembled. There isn't enough flex to add 2 after the frame is assembled.
